Young, dynamic and highly successful Shane founded his own business, Executive Fitness Management at age 20 in 1991. After a successful career in football that took him as high as playing for Essendon, Shane appreciated the need to have more than just sport in his portfolio. However taking his on field attitude to the corporate arena, Executive Fitness Management (EFM) grew into Australia’s largest Corporate Fitness Company. It started with 1 client and grew into more than 3500 clients around the country. A single operation, turned into 25 franchises in four states which led EFM to winning the Australia Day Business Award in 1996.

After an approach by Wendy's, Shane sold his controling interest in EFM and acted on the offer to become CEO of Wendy's Supa Sundaes.
In March 2000, he joined Wendy’s Supa Sundaes. Wendy’s is a 310 store chain in Australia and New Zealand. Over the course of his five year tenure he took Wendy’s from a $75m business to $120m business for the group.

The company achieved three successive years of record profit result and won numerous awards for Innovation.

In December 2004, Shane was voted “Young Leader of the Year Award” in South Australia. After more than five years in a CEO role, Shane decided it was time to move on. He purchased a share in an on-line salary packaging business that he successfully sold his interests in the company 18 months later.

Active with bounds of energy and enthusiasm, Shane has completed the New York marathon three times, the London marathon, The Berlin Marathon and also the Kokoda Track.
Currently, Shane is very active in the community.

He is the Chairman of Burns Trust Australia and a board member of Brink Productions.
In October 2006, he was awarded the KPMG Advise bank award for contribution to the Arts and business sector and he conducts many speeches and presentations for companies both nationally and internationally.

In early 2008, Shane joined an ASX publicly listed franchise company and from mid 2009 he was CEO. It was a company that specialised in the franchising sector and owned a number of franchise companies in Australia and overseas.

Shane shares with you a presentation about life, but also about his experiences with people from sport, his own business and the corporate world

Man and Baskin Robbins owner Allied Brands will roll out its specialist cafe concept in SA as part of a national expansion plan, Adelaide-based CEO Shane Radbone says.

There are two Villa and Hut outlets at the Adelaide Airport, with plans to launch the concept and open more stores in major shopping centers around the state.

The Villa and Hut concept started in Melbourne and uses a unique business model, selling not just food and drinks but also the furniture used around the cafe.

‘‘It’s the ‘Body Shop’ of cafes where we use organic blends, recycled products and recycled timber furniture from Indonesia,’’ Mr Radbone said.

By June 2010, the company hoped to open 45 Villa and Hut shops around Australia.

Allied Brands would also launch more co-branded Baskin Robbins & Cookie Man stores here to capitalize on the 40 per cent higher sales compared with individual outlets. Most of the expansion would use the $4.9 million funding commitment from New York based Spring Tree Global Investor to help grow its franchise services division in the next two years: ‘‘this is a great coup for the group. The investment . . . is testimony to our new strategy and the opportunities in the market . . . domestically and internationally.’’

The Cookie Man brand has stores in India, China, Greece and Singapore.

Has the Cats bubble burst ??.......

Did the Cats peak too early ?

Playing finals footy in May is not always the best way to
win a Grand Final.

Losing to the Bombers last week and the Eagles last night, shows
that their best form may be behind them.

It will be a true test for Coach, Scott !

SUNDAY, JULY 3, 2011

BOMBERS ARE BACK !!............

The Bombers 4 point win over Geelong means the Bombers are back in business !

Coming from 5 losses in a row - Travis Colyer came off the bench to surprise.

Hirdy and Bomber had outcoached the Cats and the odds of +$7 showed it was a
good bet !

The Bombers are back !...........

STOP PRESS : Mark Williams to coach Crows......

Reports out of Sydney are that Mark Williams and family are not happy
in Sydney.

Reports are that he wants to return to Adelaide.

He wants to coach again...

Which AFL team will need a coach next year ?.......

Will Adelaide Crows have the courage to pick him ? ....could he be a great 3 year
coach at Adelaide ? ......or will they take the "easy" option and pick "one of their
own". ?

Imagine the marketing with Mark Williams at the Crows........imagine him taking the
boys to the outer side at three quarter time ?

Why not ?

Changing a culture - means making bold change - but, are they brave enough ????!

From the Century 21 Conference
"Shane Radbone spoke on the final day of the Convention and provided important inspiration to our franchisees and staff. It was a fitting way to conclude our conference with his motivating, down to earth words. Shane is a man familiar with life's challenges, and a living example of how to work smarter not harder in order to live a balanced life. Shane said life is made up of CHOICES, your SUCCESS is an ATTITUDE, and ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! His presentation was what he has learnt from his sporting and business careers as well as the people with whom he has interacted. It is a powerful story about turning negatives into positives, and about having the right attitude for success – his theme was highly appropriate for his attentive audience: 'People, Success and Life'."
From the ICMI Showcase Speech in Melbourne on the 11th of October - Audience feedback
• Poor - 0%
• Below average - 1.0%
• Average - 9.2%
• Above avergae - 46.2%
• Outstanding - 43.6%
Carter Holt Harvey
“Shane’s presentation was inspirational and motivational. Our team got a lot out of the simple but effective message”
Capitis Group
"Finally an Australian Success Story! Shane was a wonderful contribution to the CEO Summit as a keynote presenter. An outstanding performance that was enjoyed by all. Thanks Shane I look forward to working with you in the future."
Autobarn Pty Ltd
"You are a product of what you preach.... Vision... leadership with authenticity ....hearts and minds... engagement.... focused.... committed and above all that ATTIUTUDE!!! The message was simple and real... no bells and whistles... a story to tell which allowed the audience to be challenged by People first and Profit second.... Thank you for engaging yourself into Autobarn's family for 60 minutes of your life... this was rewarding and thought provoking."
Autobarn Franchisees
"We extend our appreciation for your time at the Autobarn Conference on Friday 12th August (People Success And Life). As I and my business partner are the youngest franchisees in the Autobarn group, we definitely have the Passion and the Tenacity to be successful, but we also have a great deal to learn. Above all I would like to extend our thanks for helping us focus on our target"
Australia Post
"Shane delivered a presentation to the Australia Post retail staff that was very informative. It really did set the scene for our staff in challenging them on customer service issues that all retailers deal with daily."
Detective Senior Sergeant, Sexual Crime Investigation Branch
"Shane was a highlight of a two-day seminar conducted by staff of the South Australia Police Sexual Crime Investigation Branch. He presented to us material that had his personal stamp on it; it was inspirational, personal and connected with all who heard it. He is a credit to himself and his family and his style of presentation is personal and unique - it gives the audience no doubt as to what has made him a success (upon any interpretation of the word)."
Murray-Plains Division of General Practice
“Shane's life story could easily have been a "somebody done somebody wrong" story engaging in a life-time pity party blaming others for his lack of success in life. Instead, his positive attitude (and the advice that we should all surround ourselves with positive people) reveals a genuine enthusiasm for life resulting in outstanding success in his own life and the desire to not only share his success story with others but motivate them to make positive changes in their lives as well “
Assistant Commissioner , Operations Support Service
“I called on Shane to deliver a session with a focus on personal and organisational leadership, to senior managers. His presentation style played a big part in my team understanding and readily accepting his messages, which had a universal application. His input was highly regarded by the team”
Scotch College
"Shane spoke at our speech night and successfully re-counted how obstacles and difficulties of life can be used to generate personal success. It was a great speech and will be remembered by all who attended."
Marketing and Customer Engagement, IP Australia
"Shane delivered a keynote presentation on branding and Intellectual Property for IP Australia's "How to make your brand great" seminar series in Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth. He gave a passionate and energetic presentation which received excellent feedback. After each event Shane had a long line of attendees waiting to speak with him which illustrates they were inspired and wanted to hear more about his experiences."
Regional Institute of TAFE SA
"At the beginning of each Academic Year the Regional Institute of TAFE SA conducts a professional development day that aims to start the year on a bright and positive note. The Keynote Speaker obviously plays an important role in setting the tone for the day and for the year. Our staff are spread over more than 40 Campuses across the whole of regional South Australia! PD Day is therefore a day of videoconference and online activities. With these additional complexities I am always concerned to find an adventurous ‘give anything a go’ Keynote Speaker.

Shane was great! He is an excellent communicator even when he is new to videoconference! His message was simply and effectively delivered and the Year was begun in an authentic style. I don’t usually get immediate email feedback about how good a guest speaker is. But this time I did. Many thanks Shane for the great contribution you made to an important day for us."
